Of course, we all love t-shirts in some shape or form and have done since the dawn of time, but some styles are more popular than others. For such a simple garment, t-shirt styles can change so often it’s unreal. One style of t-shirt that has been particularly popular over the course of 2008 is the concert T. For those of you not familiar with this style of tee, well, more so the name. A concert tee is a t-shirt that is printed with either a picture of a popular band / artist or a reference to a particular concert / event or even a t-shirt printed with an album cover emblazoned on the front.
These heavily branded t-shirts as increasingly popular amongst younger wearers and whereas concert tees were traditionally only wore at concerts, they are now breaking out into the mainstream. Of course, it is not just music related prints that fall under the “concert tees” label - other prints that depict other famous brands such as McDonalds, Burger King and famous drink brands such as Jack Daniels are also becoming increasingly popular.
I expect many of our readers have a concert tee of some kind in their wardrobe. I know one of my favourite t-shirts is my black Beatles Abbey Road tee - I bought it 10 years ago, who’d have thought 2008 would be the year for it!
