Disney princesses. Their beauty captivated our childhood, and continue to do so until today, even when some are probably busy completing their essay writing. Aside from their staple pretty faces and slender bodies, all their tales ended the same way– they lived happily ever after. Given that, how could we ever forget them?
Now, here is something you should not miss about their story. Their images have been reproduced several times of countless themes. Right? Recently, one young man delivers his own interpretation of the so-loved Disney princesses, the first of its kind.
The student artist slash blogger
The student was an essay writer and posted his works on his blog. They are not excerpts from his essays.
His lay-out is simple. And so is his introduction. It is written directly, you would immediately know what to expect on his page. He says it is an “academic blog for his graphic design course at the Arts University College at Bournemouth.”
His name is Jirka Vaatainen (first name read as Yir-ka). And he has something in store for Disney followers out there. He calls his project, “Keeping the Disney Magic Alive.” He has come up with the Disney Princesses human likenesses in digital graphics.
The only thorn among the flowers
He may have been reminded of the toughest term papers he ever had to deal, and that we cannot confirm, butJirka started it off with what he calls his favourite Disney villain character from the movie, The Little Mermaid, Ursula.
On Jirka's painting, Ursula's got fiery red lips and nails. Her stare is so wicked; you would not mistake her for an angel. Her white hair is pushed up neatly. She is wearing violet dangling earrings and a necklace adorned with a gigantic shell. She looks human, only that she is up to no good.
Disney princesses interpreted
Ariel. Belle. Megara. Aurora. Esmeralda. Jasmine. Pocahontas. Mulan. If they are among your favorite Disney characters, then you have more reasons to visit Jirka's page. Call it a quick break from the stressful term papers.
Jirka posted the Ursula image last April 1. The next day, it is the 'bestfriend' he presented. The red-haired princess who lives under the sea, longing to see how it is to be walking, on land.
On April 27, Jirka added Belle, of the Beauty and the Beast, in his works. Innocent looks. Hair in pony-tail. The blue and white long sleeve dress. The image is so realistic you would think she's somebody you know, or maybe even somebody you have seen on TV.
Continuing what has been started
He maybe has school requirements to fulfil like term papers, so Jirka rests for a couple of months. But he comes back working on his project, opening with the beauty from the Hercules, Megara.
Meg is a picture of an alluring aggressive woman, tempting viewers to grab drinks with her while she shares her tale. Compared to Belle and Ariel, Meg looks more matured and daring.
And now, it is time for another princess on the block, Aurora. Of course, there is her signature black headband, and her simpler dress with a black corset. Aurora on Jirka's work is of a modern blonde beauty stuck in an old-aged era. She is reminiscent of a supermodel.
Esmeralda of The Hunchback at Notre Dame comes next on the list. And she is like a beauty queen, with her beautiful face and genuine smile. Jirka nailed it. If you can hardly rest because of your term papers, give Esmeralda a glance, so you could remind yourself to take it easy.
Jirka mentions on the comment responses that one of his influences to coming up with this next Disney princess is Kim Kardashian. It's Aladdin's sweetheart, Jasmine. But the result is amazing. She looked even more glamorous than Kim K.
Pocahontas. Her looks. Her pose. Her stare. It is a lovely rebel you would love to be allies with.
The latest addition, Mulan, with 120 comments (as this article was written), boasts the most feedbacks so far on the creator's site. She can be grouped together with Ariel and Belle's images, in terms of exuding innocence.

Viewers loved the outcome. And Jirka is just so happy many appreciated his creation. We can expect more from him, as he add popular requests such as Snow White, to the project. He said he would do so, as soon as he finds time. For the meantime, you can go back to revising term papers.
